ACT FAST – American Express Platinum 100,000 Point Offer is Back!

Screen Shot 2015-08-26 at 5.37.54 PM

This offer has expired as of 10:35AM 5/10/16.  It was open for less than 24 hours!  Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook to make sure you catch these offers.

Many agree that the American Express Platinum card is one of the best in the points game.  It comes with a host of premium benefits, including a $200 airline credit annually, SPG gold status, a $100 Global Entry credit, and Centurion Lounge access… just to name a few!  This card usually comes with a 40,000 Membership Reward (MR) Point bonus.  However, American Express just brought back the 100,000 MR Point bonus, likely for a limited time.  This matches the highest offer ever for this card!

Since American Express changed their terms to only allow one bonus per lifetime on a personal card, now is the best time to go for it.  This card does carry a $450 annual fee that is not waived, but the bonus and benefits far exceed the annual fee.  This offer is an absolute no brainer.

Brooke and I each got this card the last time the 100,000 offer came around, and we spent a lot of time learning how to maximize the benefits.   These benefits for the Personal Platinum Card include:

  1. HUGE sign up bonus!
  2. $200 Airline Fee credit annually (or Amazon credit)
  3. $100 Global Entry Fee credit
  4. Airport Lounge Access
  5. Free Boingo Internet Access
  6. Starwood Gold Status
  7. Amex Offers

Don’t miss out on this incredible offer!  Thanks for /r/churning for being the first (as usual) to break the news!

  1. Jesse,

I was a few days late to the party here. Guess I missed out on the 100,000 offer but the link now points to a 75,000 offer is it still worth it or should I wait for another 100,000 offer?

    • 75,000 is a good offer, especially with all of the benefits. However, Amex bonuses are 1-per-lifetime. It’s up to you, but it’s never certain that the 100k will come around again. Amex has already stated that this link going public was a mistake.
